D C TRAINING are pleased to announce the opening of their new Training Centre in Napoleon Business Park, Ascot Drive, Derby.
The centre will be offering Counter Balance and Reach Truck Training as well as First Aid At Work, Aluminum Tower Scaffolding Training and Abrasive Wheel Training.
In addition, delegates will have opportunity to train as Fork Lift Truck instructors.
These course will be held on a regular basis at the new centre.

Man Cage Training
Man Cage training suitable for up to three trainees who must be skilled and experienced lift truck operators (minimum 6 months)
Course Objective
After training the trainee will be expected to –
• Understand the need for operator communication between driver and cage rider
• Know the responsibilities and legal duties operators have to themselves and others when operating the cage.
• Be able to identify and safely attach the cage to the lift truck.
• Know how to check the load centre for your cage and that all the relevant plated information that is stated is correct
• Know how to identify safe operating positions and heights for use with the cage along with operator protection and coning off of a safe working area.
• Be able to select traction aids and operate correctly over wet and/or rough ground with loaded pallets/bucket attachments
• Be able to prepare and take the appropriate written test to complete the course test.
Course Content
Each Operator will receive -
• Copy of Note PM28 (Second Edition)
• Pocket card of communications techniques
• Certificate of attendance
